Bangladesh Business Visa – U.S. Citizens

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BUSINESS VISAS

1. 1. Applicant’s Passport: original, undamaged, and valid for at least another 6 months.
   2. Visa Application Form: Visa application form, please complete, print, and sign the Bangladesh visa application
      • Important: The Consulate will reject applications not completed online.

   3. Photograph: Two recent, clear, front view, in color, professional 2″x2″ passport photos of the applicant with a plain white or off-white background.

      

   4. Itinerary: copy of your round-trip ticket, reservation, or letter from a travel agency under the applicant’s name, listing flight number and arrival/departure dates, and reservation code provided by the airline.
   5. Letter of Invitation: A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Bangladesh that must meet the following criteria:
      1. Printed on company letterhead
      2. Addressed to “The Consulate of Bangladesh, Visa Section”
      3. Signed by a senior manager
      4. Briefly introduce the applicant, including employment status and position held in the company by the applicant
      5. State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e., Business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.)
      6. Names of companies to be contacted in Bangladesh
      7. Specify the type and validity of the visa requested (i.e., a One-year multiple-entry business visa).
   6. Business Letter: meeting the requirements listed below:
      1. Original: original signature of senior manager;
      2. Issued by applicant’s company/employer in the United States; State the following information
      3. Nature of business of the U.S. company;
      4. Applicant’s title and/or functions with the U.S. company;
      5. Detailed information concerning the nature of business and activities to be conducted in Bangladesh;
      6. Responsibility of the U.S. company that the applicant will not be pursuing any activities that are incompatible with a business visa (such as paid work, technical assistance, or technical training) during his/her stay in Bangladesh;
      7. Name(s) and address (es) of Bangladeshi company (ies) with which applicant is going to deal/negotiate;
      8. Name(s) of person(s) to be contacted in Bangladesh, phone number(s) and his/her/their functions with the Bangladeshi company (ies);
      9. Expected travel dates of trip to Bangladesh;
      10. Responsibility of the U.S. company for the applicant’s stay in Bangladesh and his/her return to the country of origin;

REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-US CITIZENS:

1. 1. Proof of U.S. Citizenship: Notarized copy of front and back of the green card. (A valid U.S. visa with a valid I-94 card is also acceptable.)
