Citizens of most countries require a valid visa to enter Argentina. The Argentinian Consulate General determines the duration of stay upon receiving an application. The types and categories differ according to the purpose of visit, length of stay, and bilateral arrangement with the country of the foreign national.
Prior to arriving in Argentina citizens of Australia, Canada, and The United States of America are required to pay a Reciprocity Fee to the Argentine National Immigration Directorate (DNM). This process is done electronically and no documents need to be mailed to Universal Passports & Visas for processing. You will receive your official receipt via e-mail. On arrival in Argentina, present your official receipt to the DNM office.
