China Tourist Visa – Non-U.S. Citizens: Foreigners who intend to go to China as a tourist.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL TOURIST VISAS

  • A) Applicant’s Passport:  Original signed passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages, and a copy of the passport’s data page and the photo page if it is separate.
  • B) Visa Application Form: Visa Application please download, complete, print and sign China visa application
    • Important: The visa application must be filled out on your computer and then printed. They should not be completed by hand. All fields in the form must be filled in, with “N/A” entered in any fields that are not applicable, or the consulate will reject the application. You must include your job title on question 1.17 on the visa application where it asks for company name. Please list in the form of company name/job title.

  • C) Photograph: one recent, clear, front view, in color, professional 2″x2″ passport photo of the applicant with a plain white or off-white  background.

  • D)  One of the following documents:
    •  Permit for Foreign Experts Working in China issued by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts.
    •  Registration Certificate of Resident Representative Offices of enterprises of foreign countries (regions) issued by Chinese authorities of industrial and commercial administration.
    •  An approval document for commercial performances issued by the Chinese government authorities for cultural affairs; if your intended performance period is 90 days or less, you need to provide an Approval of Short-Term Employment for Foreigners Working in P.R. China. You must apply for your visa before the commencing performance date indicated on the Approval and you will be allowed to perform only within the period of time indicated in the Approval.
    • Letter of Invitation to Foreigners for Offshore Petroleum Operations in China issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
    • Foreigners Employment Permit of the People’s Republic of China issued by Chinese government authorities for Human Resources and Social Security; if your intended work period is 90 days or less, you need to provide an Approval of Short-Term Employment for Foreigners Working in P.R. China. You must apply for your visa before the commencing work date indicated on the Approval and you will be allowed to work only within the period of time indicated in the Approval.
  • G) Copy of Driver’s License: copy of the front and back of driver’s license
  • H) Copy of Previous Visas: For applicants that have had a China Visa issued in the past 2 years, a photocopy of previous visas and a copy of all entry and exit stamps from trips taken in the past 2 years must be submitted.
  • I) Job and Company/Organization Description Form: Must be completed by all applicants that are employed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-US CITIZENS:

    • I) A copy of the front and back of the green card. (A valid U.S. visa with a valid I-94 card is also acceptable.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MINORS

      • J) Both parents must sign the minor’s application. (The Minor Applicant does not sign the application.)
      • K) A copy of applicants birth certificate
      • L) Copy of both parents driver’s license or passports and green cards or visas as necessary.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS BORN IN CHINA, HONG KONG, MACAU, OR TAIWAN


M) Chinese name. The applicant’s name written in Chinese characters.

  • N) Proof of name change. If the applicant’s name has changed since birth, please provide a copy of the court order or marriage certificate showing the name change.
  • O) Previous visa. Copy of a previously issued Chinese visa or copy of the information page from your Chinese, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwanese passport. Note: If your old passport has not been canceled, you will be required to submit the original passport with your application.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CHINESE APPLICANTS ADOPTED BY AMERICAN PARENTS

  • P) Chinese passport. Applicant’s ORIGINAL Chinese passport.
  • Q) Proof of name change. If the applicant’s name has changed since birth, please provide a copy of the court order or marriage certificate showing the name change.
  • R) Parents’ passports. Clear passport information page copies of both American parents.
  • S) Certificate of adoption. A notarized certificate of adoption.
  • T) Birth certificate. A copy of applicant’s birth certificate (usually from U.S).

INFORMATION FOR PERSONS OF TIBETAN ORIGIN

  • You must make a personal appearance at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center to process your visa if you are a person of Tibetan origin. The Visa Application Service Center will require additional documents in order to process your visa and Fast Passports & Visas is unable to assist in these procedures.
