Brazil Business Visa VITEM II – Indian Nationality:
(regular business visa: applicants going to Brazil i) to participate in business meetings and represent its company in a trade show or in a business negotiation such as to sell, to purchase, to inspect merchandise prior or after shipment, to discuss internal company policies; or iii) flight/ship crew without an International Crew card, or i) for media coverage or filmmaking):
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BUSINESS VISAS

  • A) Applicant’s Passport: original, undamaged; valid for at least another 6 months, with at least two blank visa pages.
  • B) Visa Application Form: printed receipt of the visa application form filled out and successfully submitted online duly signed by the passport holder (or parents/legal guardian of a minor) and with the photo glued on the appropriate boxes.

  • C) Photograph: one recent, clear, front view, in color, professional 2″x2″ passport photo of the applicant with a plain white or off-white background.

  • D) Itinerary: copy of your round-trip ticket, reservation, or letter from a travel agency under applicant’s name, listing flight number and arrival/departure dates and reservation code provided by the airline/cruise company;

D1) The itinerary may be waived if all the mandatory information for the itinerary is listed on the business letter.

  • E) FEES: Individual money order from the United States Postal Service in the exact amount for each visa requested listing applicant’s name on the section “From”. Example: John will come in person to submit 2 visa applications: 1 for himself (US citizen) and 1 for a Canadian coworker. During his appointment he must have 2 USPS money orders in the amount of US$ 160.00 and US$ 80.00, respectively.
  • F) Business Letter meeting the requirements listed below:
    • Original: original signature of senior manager;
    • Notarized: signee’s signature acknowledged by a US notary public
    • Issued by applicant’s company/employer in the United States; Must state the following information
    • Nature of business of the U.S. company;
    • Applicant’s title and/or functions with the U.S. company;
    • Detailed information concerning nature of business and activities to be conducted in Brazil;
    • Responsibility of the U.S. company that applicant will not be pursuing any activities that are incompatible with a business visa (such as paid work, technical assistance, technical training) during his/her stay in Brazil;
    • Name(s) and address(es) of Brazilian company(ies) with which applicant is going to deal/negotiate with;
    • Name(s) of person(s) to be contacted in Brazil, phone number(s) and his/her/their functions with the Brazilian company(ies);
    • Expected travel dates of trip to Brazil;
    • Responsibility of the U.S. company for applicant’s stay in Brazil and his/her return to the country of origin;
    • NOTE: business letters MUST HAVE ALL of the above mentioned information. Business letters missing any of the required information and/or without original signature WILL NOT be accepted and therefore visa application WILL NOT be processed.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR BUSINESS VISAS
If the visa application will not be submitted in person:

  • G) Proof of jurisdiction: notarized copy of driver’s license, utility bill, lease, bank statements or school transcript.

If the not applying with a US passport:

  • H) Proof of Legal Residency: notarized copy of visa, permanent resident card or US passport or US birth certificate.

If you already have a valid visa on another passport(This applies even if your previous passport was cancelled):

  • I) Passport with the valid visa and a notarized letter from the applicant requesting the cancellation of the valid visa. If the previous visa was authorized by the Ministry of Labor, the work permit must have its status as cancelled on the Ministry of Labor’s website.

If you will be applying for a visa on a passport issued by Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria or Taiwan:

  • J) Detailed information on applicant’s place of lodging in Brazil (hotel reservation or letter from Brazilian host), flight and notarized bank statements reflecting the past 3 months are required.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR FILMAKING

  • K) Proof of authorization from the Brazilian Cinema Agency (ANCINE) for taking photographs, making audio recordings or filmmaking for commercial purposes such as advertisements, movies, documentaries or newscast;
  • L) Affidavit from the Brazilian co-producer stating that the foreigner will not make any recordings, take photographs or make movies for the above listed purposes without previous authorization from competent Brazilian authorities.
